It's no secret that there's a lot of games on Steam, and according to data from analyst Daniel Ahmad, shared on Twitter, the number of games released through Steam Direct has climbed to 1,300, with the total number of games released this year sitting at over 3,000.
As if this wasn't impressive enough, this figure has already topped 2015's, is climbing to match 2016's, and is close to surpassing the total amount of games released on the platform between 2006 and 2014, as pointed out by VG247.
