Activision teases more historical Call of Duty titles

Eric Hirshberg doesn't see WWII as a one-off.

Many have longed for publisher Activision's return to the World war II-era, something that will happen in just a couple of months with Call of Duty: WWII, and apparently the company has plans to develop more historical shooters down the line, according to Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg. In a recent interview with Game Informer, he had this to say:

"Well, you know I can't reveal things on the slate that are several years off. But no I don't necessarily see it as a one-off; I think that World War II and historical settings more broadly are very rich territory, and I think there's every possibility that that could become an area that we explore more than once."

Would you like to see more of the historical setting, or a totally different setting entirely?
