One issue with new consoles and the better-looking games in 4K is that the file sizes are now absolutely enormous. If you want the full 4K experience for Forza Motorsport 7 on Xbox One X, for instance, it's a 100GB download.
But Microsoft has a plan, as GamesRadar+ spoke to Mike Ybarra at Gamescom 2017, who told them that they're looking to utilise a system called 'intelligent delivery'. It essentially chooses which assets are stored on your machine, and which ones are kept elsewhere, such as the cloud.
He didn't say whether this tech would be implemented for the Xbox One X launch, but it's good to see Microsoft is working on the idea. One questions immediately spring to mind though; is this just another way for Microsoft to force their always-online policies on players? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
