Microsoft took to the stage last night at Gamescom to talk about all things Xbox, and during this time Mike Ybarra talked about Xbox One users being able to transfer things like settings and games over to the Xbox One X should they choose to invest, and the details have been shared on Twitter, with three key areas discussed.
For user and console settings, for instance, an external drive is all you'll need, and you can plug this into your Xbox One X when you're initialising it to apply these same settings. You can also use an external driver for games as well, patching them before the release of the Xbox One X and then transferring it when you get the console.
Transferring data over the home network is also a possibility now as well, and although there's not much information on that process yet, it's apparently as simple as enabling the feature on both consoles and then they'll take it from there.
Was transferring data one of your concerns with the Xbox One X?
