Game of Thrones is currently gearing up to its climax, with season 7 in full swing as we speak, but there are already plans at HBO for a spinoff series being developed by Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin, the former of which recently spoke in an interview about what fans can expect from this new project.

When asked about whether the series would feature familiar events from the series, Goldman said: "I think I can say if I was able to say what mine was — yeah, I think as a book reader or as someone who watched the series, you would say, "Oh, that! OK." Yeah, it would be recognizable as a past event, but I think that's probably as far as I can go."

She also talked about when fans can expect this series. "I mean, in terms of what spin-offs will happen, I think nobody knows at this stage of the game, but the sense I get is HBO is very keen to develop something to go on the air sooner rather than later after the series ends, which is why they've been in development in earnest I think."

What would you like to see in a spinoff?
