A new game has been announced by BitMonster called Thred, which has been made to raise awareness and money for treatment for expectant mothers with HIV.
It's been made to raise funds for medication that gives children with infected mothers a 98% chance of being born HIV free. It's a worthy cause, and BitMonster has collaborated with Coca Cola and (Red) to make and release the game. On top of that musicians DJ
Poet and TOKiMONSTA have made contributions to the game's soundtrack.
Thred has been made using the Unreal Engine (donated to the cause by Epic) and it was designed by Lee Perry, who was lead gameplay designer on Gears of War 3.
Donations can be made via in-App purchases, including an option to pay $209.99, the amount it costs to provide one mother with enough antivirals to support her entire pregnancy and beyond.
