You ever have that problem where you're switching from PC to PS4, or Xbox One to Xbox 360, and you just can't be bothered to keep switching controllers? Well, there might be a solution, as there's a Kickstarter campaign currently running for a controller called the All Controller, which is self-proclaimed as "the world's first universal gamepad," according to its website.
The controller itself is made out of tough material that has been "rigorously tested," and there's also an optional secure phone mount too, as phones are just one of the many things it can be used with. With 11X USB drivers and 7X Bluetooth drivers, you can use this to play with your PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4, among other things, and you can customise all of this too, with button mapping and joystick swapping included. As detailed on the Kickstarter page, the controller also comes with back paddles and can apparently last for 40 hours of constant playing with the battery it has.
When can you get your hands on it though? Well, the campaign itself ends on September 15, and then the timeline states that shipping will begin on May 10 next year. Controllers start at $55 CAD (around £33.78), with limited functionalities, but you can spend more to get a controller with more features like a phone holder and a USB dongle. You don't have to worry about it being backed, though, because it's already surpassed $200,000 CAD of its $75,000 asking total.
Could this really be the future of gaming?
