Wonder Woman was released back in June and received a very positive reception all round (including from us), being a financial success as well as a critical one, and now Deadline reports that director Patty Jenkins is closing in on a deal to direct the already-confirmed sequel, which would make her one of the highest-paid female directors.

The reason the deal has of yet not been reached is because Jenkins expects, rightfully so, to be paid the same as a male director would after such a success, and Deadline's report claims that this deal was being finalised yesterday night.

Nothing has been officially revealed just yet, but it's likely her pay will now be equal to other directors who have achieved success at a similar level. To give some idea of a ballpark figure, fresh directors for comic book films usually get around $1.5 to $3 million USD, whereas experienced and successful directors like Zack Snyder can get $10 million.

Are you hyped for another Wonder Woman film?
