Shenmue 3 started life with a tremendously successful Kickstarter campaign, and it was then believed that developer YS Net would self-publish the game when it launches sometime next autumn, although we now know that that's not the case at all, as the developer has shared a new post on their website announcing that they've partnered with Deep Silver to publish and distribute the game at launch on PC and PlayStation 4.
"Game fans may already be familiar with Deep Silver, as they are a trusted brand who has helped many Japanese game titles find their audiences around the world," YS Net wrote. "We are proud to have gained a wonderfully reliable partner to make sure Shenmue III reaches all its fans all over the planet."
Secondly, a part of the development team, including Yu Suzuki, will be present at Gamescom, so maybe it's time for some more gameplay?
