Footage and images from what is said to be a cancelled Marvel fighting game from EA Chicago has turned up on Siliconera. The game featured similar presentation to what eventually made it into Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and characters like Hulk, Captain America and Spider-Man were playable.
EA inked a deal with Marvel in 2004 and the only game to come out of the partnership was the Nihilistic Software developed Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects (released in 2005), the deal was terminated in 2008 (which probably set up a deal with Capcom for Marvel vs. Capcom 3), but apparently EA had put EA Chicago (Def Jam series, Fight Night) on a second game under the deal. This game, however never came to fruition and the assets on Siliconera that surfaced now were given to them by an unnamed artist.
