Yesterday, Hidetaka 'Swery65' Suehiro said that he would reveal his new game in September, but that plan changed very quickly, as he's actually decided to announce it today. The game is called The Good Life, and will start its fundraiser on Fig starting September 3. Those of you who've played his previous games know that he's famous for making games with "special" ideas and concepts, and this is no different.

In The Good Life we control an American photographer called Naomi, who finds herself stuck in the self-proclaimed "happiest town in the world", Rainy Woods, and realises that there's something very special about the place: all of its residents, including her, turn into cats during night time.

She's the only one who remembers this when the day starts, so she'll have to uncover this mystery on her own, which means doing some good old fashioned investigating when the sun is up, searching for clues and important items as a cat at night.

Suehiro-san makes it clear that the game will have the same kind of spirit as Deadly Premonition, while also featuring "a brand new style of gameplay". If this sounds interesting, we'll remind you that the Fig campaign will start on September 3, and the minimum investment you'll have to make is $100 USD.

Does this seem like an interesting concept?
