Many fans are probably rejoicing at the return of Overwatch's Summer Games event, including the incredibly popular Lucioball game mode, but there's a bug that has emerged within the mode that players have been noticing.
This bug revolves around the competitive side of the game, as Lucioball has a separate competitive playlist, meaning only those within the same bracket can compete together, however, there's an issue whereby the game takes the regular competitive score into account (i.e. outside Lucioball), meaning people who are in the same Lucioball bracket but not regular bracket can't play together.
Game director Jeff Kaplan has apologised for the bug and says that the team has found an issue and is working to deploy a fix. What will probably happen is that PC will get the fix first, and then the console fix will be submitted for certification by Microsoft and Sony.
"Also, one thing to note: we have a separate console hotfix patch that is currently already awaiting certification and should deploy sometime today or tomorrow," he added. "Many players will confuse this with the Lucioball fix but unfortunately, this is unrelated to that."
