Back in 2015 Bungie launched a promo with Red Bull in which you could access a multi-stage mission in Destiny by redeeming codes on cans of the energy drink, however, this didn't go quite to plan, as players found a way to exploit this and enter codes without having to buy anything (Techland even made fun of the promo too). That hasn't stopped Activision from trying another energy-drink-themed promo for the sequel, though, this time with Rockstar Energy.
This is similar to the first game in the sense that you can buy different flavoured cans in Canada, Germany, UK, and the US, and these give you access to in-game gear and the chance to win other prizes related to the game. As if tempting fate, these also come via a code you need to enter via this website too, but we don't know exactly what it is we'll be getting with these codes.
Those in the US can also look forward to similar promos on packs of Pop Tarts as well, also containing a code you need to enter on a different website. Do you like promos like this, where you can get access to in-game content?
