Earlier today we reported that Rainbow Six: Siege had hit a new milestone of 20 million registered players, with 2.3 million signing on every day, and this has increased Ubisoft's confidence, if product director Nicola Lefebvre is anyone to go by.

"Our community is growing and so is our ambition to make Siege a shooter that is here to stay," he said. "The next few weeks are very exciting as it marks the culmination of Operation Health and the release of our next season set in Hong Kong."

Ubisoft has recently conducted technical tests to get information on new servers to improve match stability, so there's that to look forward to, but most players will be more excited about Hong Kong's Special Duties Unit and the two new operators from there, as well as the new operator from Poland's Grupa Reagowania Operacyjno-Manewrowego (GROM), all of which will also come with a new map and new weapons.

Is Siege really here to stay?
