We already knew that brawler Bloody Zombies was coming, but now nDreams and Paw Print Games have announced that the game is coming on September 12 for £10.99 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, supporting VR headsets including PSVR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive.
The game itself is co-op brawler in which one to four players can play either online or locally, with any combination of TV and VR players, with four "rough-and-tough cockney misfits" working together to defend themselves against hordes of the undead. Chainable combos are a part of this, as well as special moves and melee weapons, with VR players capable of finding more in-game secrets and providing tactical support using a "unique diorama view".
David Corless, VP of Publishing at nDreams, said: "Bloody Zombies is a classic co-op brawler but with a new twist where VR players and non-VR players can battle the undead together, either online or couch co-op. Think Streets of Rage and Castle Crashers on amphetamines, throw in some friends, add in the unique viewpoint when playing in VR and Bloody Zombies is like no other game out there!"
Anthony White, Co-Founder and Director at Paw Print Games, added: "We're massive fans of brawler games and have spent countless hours analysing the genre, crafting Bloody Zombies into a modern interpretation of the classics. VR adds a new twist to what is already a great TV experience; enhancing the gameplay and visuals and adding a wow factor. We can't wait for people to get their hands on Bloody Zombie"
Players who pre-order also get a 10% discount, so there's every reason to invest early, and if you're not sure whether this is for you, maybe the brand new screens down below will help you to decide. Do you think this mix of VR and non-VR will work?
