Electronic Arts introduced female players in FIFA 16, and made a few refinements last year. Now it's basketball's turn.
The studio has announced that the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and all of the players will make their video game debut with NBA Live 18. They've also motion captured and scanned the faces of "a high percentage" of these women to accurately reflect their likeness and movement. However, we have some news that might disappoint you as well. You won't get to use female players or teams in career mode or tournaments, but will have to make due with "Play Now" and online versus matches. EA states that this might change after launch, but can't promise anything.
Is this something that might persuade you from getting NBA 2K18 and instead go for the often cancelled EA Sports title?
