House Party, the sex-themed game in Steam early access that has players adventure round a house party with the aim of getting girls naked, has been removed from Steam after Valve received numerous complaints.

Developer Eek! Games announced the news in a blog post:

"Some of you may have noticed that House Party is no longer for sale on Steam. Before I continue, I'd like to put everybody's concerns to rest. Steam very kindly reached out to me about the removal and I am working with them to resolve their concerns, and get the game back up for sale. Those who already bought the game will still own it and be able to play it and receive updates through Steam in the meantime.

"House Party was temporarily removed as a result of a number of complaints that were sent to Steam about the game. The game has been a target for a certain group of people since the day it launched, and said people were posting very aggressive, distasteful and hateful comments directed toward the game and its community of players. I suspect the complaints about the game that Steam received were originating from the same groups. Steam agreed to let the game back on the site after some modifications (which we are working on now). They have generously offered me the opportunity to modify the game for re-admission to their service."

The post goes on to explain that the developer understands where Steam is coming from, but they're most upset for the 35,000 people that bought the game but will now have to play a "watered down version" of the title. All of this comes after numerous big name YouTubers such as PewDiePie and Nerdcubed have already made videos on it.

Do you think Steam are right to have removed the game due to complaints? Let us know your thoughts down below.
