As reported by DualShockers, the PlayStation 4 has surpassed the 5 million mark in terms of sales in Japan, which to clarify means those sold to customers.
Sales last week specifically came in at just under 31,000, pushing the figure over the threshold, and to break down these figures for you a little bit, 4,685,069 of those (as of Sunday July 23) are standard consoles, with 317,297 being PS4 Pro models.
The current tally worldwide for the console, then, stands at just over 60 million, and Japan has accelerated their sales from 4.5 million back in March, which should increase even more with games like Dragon Quest XI coming this month too.
How do you think the PS4 will fare in coming years in Japan?
