While games are generally produced in abundance in this day and age, it wasn't always as easy to get a hold of the games you wanted. That's why some games have become quite rare over time, and one of the rarest of all time is Stadium Events for the NES, which is actually so rare that a pristine, unopened copy recently sold for $42,000 USD.
Kotaku reports that the seller initially ran an auction on eBay, but the winning bid didn't pay, and afterwards, the seller got in touch with a serious buyer, and a deal has been struck for $41,977.
Would you pay that much if your favourite game was that rare?
