When Rockstar releases a new game, it's a pretty big deal, so usually other publishers and developers would rather steer clear of their releases due to their popularity, one of which is Ubisoft, who seems to be rather pleased that Red Dead Redemption 2 got pushed into 2018.
During their recent earnings call with investor Alain Martinez, the company's chief financial officer, the absence of Red Dead Redemption 2 in the autumn was discussed, and he said that this creates more room for Ubisoft titles to grow.
"Clearly the fact that there is no Red Dead Redemption [2] is a positive for our fiscal year 2018," Martinez commented. "This is something that we had taken into our [financial] assumptions. So the absence of that game is, of course, giving us a better window for the launch of some of our games."
But how will Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2 fare early next year?
