Joystiq have spotted the first Wii U demo in the North American Wii U eShop and it's EA Sports' FIFA 13 that takes the honour of being first.
Finding demos in the Nintendo eShop is a process that's not as simple as hitting the demo folder as you'll have to visit each game page to see if a demo is available. Hopefully something Nintendo will sort out soon.
