Things are going well for Turbine these days, with The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar's move from subscriptions to free to play doubled its revenue. So it's not that surprising that they now are ready to announce their next expansion - The Lord of the Rings Online: Rise of Isengard.

The expansion is still ways off - it's planned to hit at somepoint towards the end of next year. It will, as the name imply, contain the region of Isengard and Saruman's tower Orthanc. It will also raise the level cap from the level 65 of today to 70, and expand upon monster play (their answer to player versus player combat) with a brand new area and changes to monster play "skills and advancement".
