With Sony seemingly keeping a low profile at this year's Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, eyes will be on Microsoft as they enter the final few months ahead of launching Xbox One X. And by the looks of it, even if we shouldn't expect "E3 level announcements", they've got a stacked schedule planned for the August event.

On Sunday, August 20th, at 21:00 CEST (that's 8:00pm BST) Graeme Boyd (AceyBongos) and Maxi Graeff (Xbox Germany) will host a livestream (Xbox @ gamescom live), that is said to feature "news to share, games to show off, will sit down to talk with developers from fan favorite studios and play some of the year's hottest games yet to be released". That certainly doesn't sound like we should expect news of Halo 6, but more likely we'll learn more about Microsoft's Xbox One line-up this year that includes Forza Motorsport 7, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, Super Lucky's Tale, and State of Decay 2.

Next up, Microsoft will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Age of Empires on Monday (August 21, 21:00 CEST (8:00 pm BST) where we'll get a first look at Age of Empires: Defintive Edition.

Furthermore, starting Tuesday (which is also the first day of the show - only open to trade visitors, press and VIP ticket holders) they invite Xbox gamers to their FanFest.

Microsoft mention a line-up of 27 games (Xbox One and Windows 10) at their Gamescom booth this year.

The exact details on FanFest and how to attend the Age of Empires event have yet to be released, but you can read up on some additional details over on the Xbox Newswire.
