Trion Worlds have just announced that the closed beta for their upcoming MMO Rift: Planes of Telara will kick off in December. In this first push, the players that are selected will have access to the first 20 levels of the Defiant faction "plus the Plane of Death-invaded land of Freemarch. Players can tour the fortress-city of Meridian, and battle hordes of undead in the Iron Tomb dungeon."
The first test will run between December 3-6, which might be smart considering that a certain World of Warcraft-expansion is launching on December 7...
If you want a chance to be selected, sign up on the official site and hope for an e-mail to show up a couple of days before the beta starts. Trion will also give out codes through various promotions on Facebook, Twitter and their forums.
