Jason VandenBerghe, creative director of For Honor, has announced via Facebook that he is leaving the ranks of Ubisoft Montreal to join ArenaNet as director of design.
"It's a big step. I won't be making games directly any more - I'll be studio level, shepherding teams and growing people. I'm... sort of thrilled about how difficult that sounds. It's exactly what I want to be doing right now," he said in the post.
VandenBerghe has contributed to numerous titles during his nine years of collaboration with Ubisoft, including titles like Far Cry 3 and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. As for now, though, his talents will be used on Guild Wars 2.
We can only wish him good luck for his new and exciting adventure!
