Update: WWE has issued a correction regarding the release date for WWE 2K18 on Switch. They say that initial press release was a mistake and that the Switch version won't launch alongside the PS4 and Xbox One versions on October 17. All they want to say at the moment is that it'll launch "Fall 2017."

WWE 2K18 is heading to Nintendo Switch it was confirmed today, when this
message from cover star Seth Rollins was shared with Nintendo fans. According to a subsequent official announcement, it looks like the Switch version will land alongside the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game on October 17.

It's the first time that a WWE game has appeared on a Nintendo console since WWE 13 landed on the Wii, and it's difficult to know how it will be adapted for the unique hardware. Will we get console-specific features relating to the Joy-Cons and local multiplayer? On the other hand, might we get a version adapted for the less powerful console-handheld hybrid? We'll update you with more news relating to the Switch version of the game as soon as we have more to share.
