A week of fundraising and speedrunning has come to a close, with Summer Games Done Quick attracting donations totalling more than $1,760,400 (comfortably eclipsing last year's total of $1.3M). The money raised is going to Doctors Without Borders.

If you missed the festivities you can still head over to YouTube and watch some of the most entertaining speedruns (including an impressive one-handed run through Nier: Automata in just 43 minutes).

The total mentioned above was actually confirmed yesterday and they're still collecting donations, so that figure may yet rise. If you're feeling generous and would like to give some money to this worthy cause, head here.

Speed Demos Archive coordinates these events, and they will return with Awesome Games Done Quick, which is scheduled to take place in winter 2018. The last AGDQ raised a staggering $2.2 million dollars, so they've got some work to do if they're going to better that.
