Some of 343 Industries' employees have been teasing that Halo fans would get some great news this week, and they weren't exaggerating, as they've announced that Halo 5: Guardians will get a 4K update for Xbox One X before the console launches on November 7. This means that we'll get to see the graphical improvement from day one, and see Halo 5 in all its shiny goodness.
Microsoft hasn't forgotten about the older games either, as you'll be able to play every Xbox 360 Halo game on your Xbox One this autumn too. That's right - Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 will all be a part of the backwards compatibility program later this year, and all their map packs will even become free on the Xbox Store, so you don't have to fear that your friends have maps you can't play on.
