While Splatoon 2's Direct livestream today revealed that we'll be getting post-launch content for the game for "around a year", we also know that we'll be getting Splatfests for the next two years.
Splatfests are limited-time themed events which sees teams of four battle it out to see who's victorious, the first of which will be available on July 15 from 15:00 PST (23:00 BST) as part of the free demo on the Nintendo eShop, and we've been warned to decide in advance if cake or ice cream is our dessert of choice. Once you've downloaded this demo, players can start and vote for their team, and even visit the in-game mailbox to create and share drawings as part of their support.
