As part of the Splatoon 2 Direct livestream that took place today, not only was more information given on the game, due to release this month, but post-launch content was shown as well.

The Bubble Blower was demonstrated, a weapon that, while not given much detail, seems to provide inky bubbles which can then be burst for a shower of ink, either to cover ground, harm enemies, or both. It wasn't clear if this was post-launch or not, however, we should clarify, as it was only confirmed as "on the way".

New gear was also promised, but with nothing pictured, however, something that was pictured was a new stage in the shape of a ship, which you can see below. If this wasn't enough to get your gears going, the narrator also said that fans can "expect weapon, gear, and stage updates for around a year."
