Publisher 2K has revealed the first feature set details for upcoming wrestling game WWE 2K18, and Visual Concepts' executive producer Mark Little has spared no expense at giving us the details of the key focus areas.

Firstly, for the creative types you'll be pleased to hear the Creation Suite is getting even deeper, allowing players to create a match, as well as use the improved create a superstar, arena, and video features. If you're more into the MyPlayer and My Career options, however, these have also been improved, with the former adding fighting styles and a new upgrade and progression system, while the latter is a totally new experience with a fresh story and a free-roaming backstage area so you can interact with other superstars.

There's also a new mode called the Road to Glory, which lets players compete against each other using their MyPlayer characters in a quest to qualify for WWE pay-per-view events.

This is all brought together using a new graphics engine with "spectacular new lighting, more realistic skin and new camera effects", and a new commentary team featuring Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton.

In terms of gameplay, additional improvements are also promised, in order to make WWE 2K18 "the most comprehensive and realistic WWE game to date."
