Rayman's official debut in video games was when the platformer released in September 1995 for the Atari Jaguar, and soon after for the original PlayStation and the Sega Saturn. But Michel Ancel had been working on a Super NES title before any of the Rayman titles that we know today.

Omar Cornut, creator of the recently remade Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, came out of nowhere with the code of an early prototype and shared it on Twitter with a bunch of screenshots. "According to old screenshots and reports it did grow to a more fully fledged game but a later version wasn't found yet," he said in a later reply.

There is a gameplay sample of this Rayman for SNES game that Ubisoft never finished on YouTube. What is your favourite Rayman game? Let us know in the comments.
