There is a slight obsession over sales figures in the gaming industry (yes, I'm guilty of it), but we seldom hear how many actual players a certain game gets (including used sales, borrowed games from friends, etc.). That's why it was nice to read in Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling's (Fourzerotwo) post on the fact that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare had reached ten million players who had since connected to Xbox Live (the actual number of players is higher, since there are those who never log on to Xbox Live - yes, it's true!). While he could not pull similar numbers from Playstation Network well over 4 million unique users have played multiplayer in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare over PSN. A very impressive number as well.
