Thinking about picking up a Wii U and don't know where to go? Of course you can still take a trip to your local specialist retailer, some stores are still offering pre-orders, whilst others have allocated all their stock. Your best bet is to approach them direct, as availability will vary from store to store.

If you're looking for a deal online, we've highlighted a few places you could start. But before you begin clicking through, here's a couple of things to bear in mind.

Different Bundles

Whilst there are a variety of different bundles available to choose from, there's three that make up the majority of the offerings. The first is the Basic Pack, which includes a white 8GB console, cables and a Wii U GamePad.

The Premium Pack includes a black 32GB console, and the same cables and controllers as the Basic, and a copy of Nintendo Land. There's also an option to buy the Premium Pack with Zombi U and a Pro Controller, which will likely look good value to many gamers, especially those with one eye on third-party releases such as Black Ops 2.

Where to go

Game.co.uk are still taking pre-orders online (though you should check with you local store if you want to pick one up on the day). Their Basic package is £259.99, and their Premium deal is £309.99 (however, this model won't be available until early December when the second wave of stock hits). Buy the console bundled with Zombi U and it'll set you back £349.99.

Amazon.co.uk are also selling the same three models, although their prices are slightly different. Basic is £248.00, Premium is £299.00, and Premium + Zombi U is £329.00.

Zavvi.com has sold out of the Premium + Zombi U console bundle, but they're more than making up for it by offering a variety of Basic bundles. The pick of the bunch? The 8GB Basic console and Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition is available for £249.99.

GameStop.co.uk are offering similar prices, with the Basic deal costing £249.97, and the Premium 32GB console setting you back £297.97.

And the rest

TheHut.com are offering the Basic console at £249.99. Blockbuster.co.uk are offering the 32GB console and Nintendo Land for £299.99. Shopto.net has a variety of different bundles, and they're focussing on the "more is more" principle, it might cost £469.85 but for your money you'll get the 32GB Premium console, Zombi U, Batman Arkham City Armored Edition, Mass Effect 3 and FIFA 13.

Play.com are matching Game's online prices (£259.99 for the Basic and £309.99 for the Premium Pack), but HMV.com are sold out of some models, with some customers now expecting a possible wait until December 15 before they can get hands-on with their new console (Premium bundles ordered before November 2 should be unaffected).
