When Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was shown for the very first time on the stage of Ubisoft's E3 conference, many Gamereactor editors couldn't stop making the comparison between the intriguing RPG/strategy game developed by Ubisoft Milan, featuring Rabbids and the iconic Italian plumber, and the tactical series developed by Firaxis Games, Xcom.

For this reason, during an interview with Game Informer, Jake Solomon, Xcom 2's creative director, was invited to comment on the announcement of the game. Solomon explained that "it was really cool to see," referring to the presentation of the game. In particular, regarding the rocket launcher seen during the presentation in the hands of Peach Rabbid, he added jokingly: "If I had know we could have done that, I would have pitched that to Nintendo a long time ago".

So, it seems that Solomon has perceived some contingencies with the exclusive Switch game, which will debut on August 29th. You can read our preview of the game at this link. Do you think the latest crossover will be a success? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
