During the presentation of the Xbox One X, Forza Motorsport 7 was the game of choice to expose the capabilities and 4K graphics of the new console. But this high resolution will not be without consequences. Turn 10 will release the racing game in its retail version with a 1080p resolution for the Xbox One and the Xbox One S, but to get the 4K on Xbox One X, you will have to download no less than 100 GB of data.
Clearly getting bespoke textures and assets comes at a cost, but hopefully most games that support 4K resolution with Xbox One X won't require as extreme downloads or we'll soon run out of harddrive space.
The game is scheduled to arrive on PC and Xbox One on October 3rd. As for the new console, it is expected on November 7th, and that's when the patch will be available for download.
