Microsoft had a strong Black Friday weekend sales in the US (Nov 18-23), and while not quite reaching last year's record numbers (960,000), they still managed to sell an impressive 750,000 units of Xbox 360. Xbox Live Gold subscription sales increased 50 percent over last year and compared to 2011 U.S. entertainment application usage has risen 43 percent.
For comparison Nintendo managed approximately 400,000 Wii U sales in the same period, but they were obviously having supply issues with their new console at launch.
