Whilst Wii U consoles continue to fly off shelves in North America following its launch there last week, there are still some signs that all is not well with Nintendo's new console. One of the chief areas of concern is the power of the CPU, which has been openly criticised by 4 A Games chief technical officer, Oles Shishkovtsov.

"Wii U has a horrible, slow CPU," the Metro: Last Light dev Shishkovtsov said to NowGamer. His colleague, Huw Beynon also confirmed that a Wii U version of Last Light was unlikely because the it "wasn't worth pursuing at this time," because of resources that would have to be diverted to the port, possibly affecting other areas of development.

"We had an early look at it, we thought we could probably do it, but in terms of the impact we would make on the overall quality of the game - potentially to its detriment - we just figured it wasn't worth pursuing at this time. It's something we might return to. I really couldn't make any promises, though."
