After showing off PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, a second battle-royale game appeared during Microsoft's E3 Press Conference, this one by Scavengers' Studio and called The Darwin Project.
Jethro Tull was there as a shoutcaster, yelling play-by-play commentary as two players fought it out, with gameplay of two characters dancing around each other in the snow.
Before that, however, we saw characters scrapping in the snow, swinging axes, and eventually one of them taking an arrow in the back, in a cinematic fight scene where the victor was revealed as wearing a stealthy cloak.
The Darwin Project will be an Xbox One console launch exclusive (Microsoft's exact words, not ours), and will be enhanced for Xbox One X with 4K visuals and HDR.
