Rocket League celebrates two years with a big update

New in-game sounds, arena, and more.

Rocket League is now two years old, and to celebrate the occasion developer Psyonix has a lot of presents for the players, all as part of a new update.

Starting on July 5 there is a new free arena called Champions Filed, for instance, and this is a big, modern-looking stadium ready to play in Competitive, Casual, and Private matches. There's also a new type of crates, Overdrive, with new items for the Battle-Cars, and these new crates also hide two new import cars, Animus GP and Centio V17.

The Second Anniversary update brings in Rocket League Radio as well, with 18 songs written for the game by EDM label Monstercat. If you prefer listed to your car engine, though, Psyonix has revamped all existing sounds in-game and mixed in new ones.

Finally, Psyonix announced the end of the Competitive Season 4, but before to start with the fifth season, the company is changing the approach for the new seasons going forward. There will be a full breakdown soon with the new ideas coming.
