EA Access has become quite a hit due to its early access games, free downloads of selected EA games, and discounts when you download titles. It even inspired Microsoft themselves to do something similar with the recently released Xbox Game Pass.
This does, however, raise the question as to what would happen if companies like Activision or Ubisoft would like to do the same thing. One user decided to ask Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer on Twitter whether Xbox would allow these too, and got an answer: "Sure, we've had EA Access from their launch. I see choice as a good thing for gamers."
So far there's only EA Access, but this means there might be more services coming in the future. Is this a good idea though?
