After opening new studios in Bordeaux (France) and Berlin (Germany), Ubisoft will set about creating another new studio in the city of Montpellier, in the south of France. The city is already the home of the studio from which came games like Rayman and Beyond Good and Evil.

The new site will cover an area of 4500m2 and is revealed in a press release sent over by the French publisher as "a true laboratory of creativity, which will benefit from advanced technologies in terms of equipment and working comfort (including : luminosity, temperature, noise management ...)."

This is the first time that Ubisoft has built a development studio from scratch, and they have gone big for the occasion, with ambitious futuristic architecture. Perhaps this is where the long-awaited Beyond Good and Evil 2 will be developed as we are still waiting for more news about that one. Given the history of the company and the game, it'd certainly be fitting.
