Take-Two: Red Dead release window doesn't really matter

The "extraordinary experience" will be enough to entice people in.

During Take-Two's fiscal year earnings call the company revealed that the game isn't coming this fiscal year, and Take-Two's CEO Strauss Zelnick has said that the launch window for the game doesn't even really matter that much.

When asked about whether it would do better as a summer release as opposed to end of year, Zelnick said: "For a title like this, I don't think the launch window really matters. And obviously, Red Dead Redemption went out in May and was an extraordinarily successful title. Consumers are consuming entertainment year round. Now they don't stop in the summer months. And we believe that if you give people an extraordinary experience, they will show up for it."

Is this arrogance from Zelnick, or just an honest prediction?
