Last week we reported that 343 Industries chief Dan Ayoub had left his position at the studio to join Microsoft's Mixed Reality team. Today we found out who will be his successor; Chris Lee will take on the role of studio head as announced by Halo franchise development director Frank O'Connor, who confirmed the news over on Twitter.
Lee is a veteran of the industry, and he joined Microsoft Game Studios back in 2004. Since then he was Halo 4's senior lead producer, and Halo 5: Guardians' executive producer. Lee's challenge is obviously a demanding one, as he now has the task of leading the Halo franchise forward from here on in.
It's a pity, then, that we won't be getting any news regarding the next entry in the Halo series anytime soon, because as confirmed last week by 343i, the studio will have nothing new to show at E3. They won't even show off the much-speculated Halo 3 Anniversary, another rumour that was recently denied, in this case by 343i community manager, Brian Jarrard.
