This past weekend Tokyo Sandbox 2017 took place, in which director of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Takeyasu Sawaki revealed that a big announcement is coming within the next two weeks.
"Within two weeks, I'm going to announce a new mythical concept," Sawaki said (via Kotaku). "It's not indie, it's major. Please look out for it. I'm pretty sure it will be covered by various media. It's major, so I'm really not allowed to speak about it, but please look forward to it."
He also said during his panel that a fan-uploaded trailer for El Shaddai annoyed him, as "the image quality was horrible," and he prided himself on the game's visuals.
