In a bid to improve the Steam storefront, Valve has released a new feature today. When a game is recommended to you via your queue or otherwise, it will now show you why it has been recommended.
Valve is aiming to meet the needs of both players and developers, along with all the different subcategories each type of player falls under. Reasons for recommending a game can vary, from the positive user reviews, to being similar to other games you've played, through to how many of your friends want or already own the game.
They went into much more detail in a http://steamcommunity.com/games/593110/announcements/detail/1301948399257707760>lengthy blog post</a>, but the basic gist of their goal is to be able to treat all the different types of player fairly. This is just the early stages of Valve's focus on the Steam storefront, with two more blog posts coming soon about the ways the Steam store is being exploited and the second one revealing the new Steam Direct system.
