In many ways, Nintendo leads the pack, with thoughtful console design and innovative gameplay experiences, but in some areas they're a little behind the competition. One such area was the lack of an option to store your credit/debit card details on the eShop, meaning that you'd have to input your payment details each and every time you wanted to make a purchase.

If getting your card out of your wallet/purse and inputting those digits was a constant source of frustration and distress for you, then we have news that will make you very happy indeed, as Nintendo has added the option to save your card details.

From here on in you can save your payment info and use it to make future purchases, and reaching for those card details is now a thing of the past, you lucky devils! You can even protect your details with a password, which given the number of younger gamers who no doubt enjoy time on the family Switch, is probably a very sensible addition.
