Many gamers ask for refunds on Steam

Just under 60,000 requests for refunds in the last 24 hours.

Steam users taking full advantage of the refund policy offered by the platform. Every day. Valve has released new customer data related to requests asked during the last 90 days in different areas to show how quick they deal with customer feedback.

Between February and May, on average they were contacted more than 60.000 times, some days as much as 100,000 times. Most of these instances are related to refunds, with a noticeable peak every Saturday. During the last 24 hours, they received 59,256 requests for money back, and they guarantee a typical response time of 48.48 minutes to 1.45 hours.

Account Security and Recovery is the second most demanded service from Valve's customer support. Game & Steam Technical Support and Purchase & Billing Support represent about 3% of the daily requests each and have a response time higher than the others.

Of course, a request isn't always granted as you need to adhere to Steam's refund policies (you must have played less than 2 hours of the game within 14 days of purchase).
