Overwatch has obviously been a huge success for Blizzard since it launched last May, and Activision Blizzard's recent earnings report has revealed that the game has earned the company a billion US dollars in less than a year.
In the same section where this is mentioned, it's alsor revealed that Blizzard had the biggest Q1 online player community in its history, with 41 million monthly active users. Overwatch is a big part of this, as it's Blizzard's fastest growing new franchise, with 30 million players globally, becoming the eight billion-dollar franchise for Activision Blizzard.
Hearthstone's monthly active users grew in terms of year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter as well, and there are now 70 registered players for the game.
How big can Overwatch get?
Thanks, PC Gamer.
