Yesterday marked the release of a new stage for Street Fighter V called Temple Hideout, which is a reworked version of the classic Thailand level from Street Fighter 2, however, the level has already been pulled.
So far there's no official word on exactly why Capcom pulled the level without warning, but it strangely coincides with some findings made by many players, including one on YouTube, which suggest that, while the level is set in a Buddhist temple in Thailand, the soundtrack made for the level contains Arabic chants of Islamic nature.
Although Thailand does have a large Muslim population, the level is filled with Buddhist iconography, and so it's a pretty big cultural mistake if this is the case. Do you think this is the reason it was pulled?
